Senator Ishaku Abbo has vehemently denied being the man in a now viral sex video. The Adamawa state born lawmaker blamed his political opponents for sponsoring it and called the episode a “timid blackmail.”
The Senator had a brush with controversy years ago when a video emerged that appeared to show him in an altercation with an attendant at a sex toy shop in the nation’s capital, but the senator has denied this latest episode, threatening to take legal court action against those he suspected were behind the circulation of the sex video and who are trying to malign and tarnish his name.
The leaked video that has now gone viral online surfaced late last week, appearing to show a light-skinned man could be seen having sexual intercourse with an alleged married woman.
Surprisingly, the name of Senator Abbo was tagged as the identified man in the sex video, an allegation that has yet to be proven or substantiated by any credible sources.
Following the release of the video, a press conference was held over the incident where the senator denied that he was the man in the video having sex with the alleged Adamawa married woman whose husband is said to be based in Abuja.
Abbo had vehemently denied, “How can you identify a person without seeing his face, his body, only parts of his legs and you said it is Senator Abbo,” he said.
“Blackmail cannot stop me from winning elections. A senator from one of the northern states was shown in a sex video with his entire body, but he still won an election to the Senate, and his wife won an election to the House of Representatives. My people love me. No amount of blackmail can stop me,” he insisted.
He stressed that he was not deterred by the sex video but warned that tarnishing his image would not help the political interest of those sponsoring the blackmail, insisting that his supporters would still vote for him because of his performance while in the Senate.
