Annie Idibia, Nollywood actress and wife of music icon Tuface Idibia, has revealed the heartbreaking loss of her twin pregnancy last year.
In an emotional conversation with South African producer and co-star Quinton Masina, popularly known as Naked DJ, the 40-year-old actress shared the deep impact the miscarriage had on her life. Annie disclosed that she felt isolated in her grief and struggled to find understanding among her peers.
Reflecting on her experience, Annie said, “The whole of last year, I wasn’t coming out enough. I was pregnant. For twins. I had a miscarriage the whole time.”
She added that the lack of support from her group of friends on the show heightened her emotional struggles. “I wish I had someone in this group I could actually go to and say, ‘I’m pregnant, we’re going to have a baby.’ And then, we lost that. It was hard.”
Despite Tuface’s support, Annie admitted that her pain felt overwhelming and deeply personal, making it difficult for her to open up to others.
Naked DJ, moved by her revelation, questioned why Annie often faced criticism and negativity, adding, “Why is everyone just so malicious towards Annie?”
Annie, a mother to two daughters, Isabella and Olivia, highlighted that the loss of her twins was a profoundly challenging period, one that her previous motherhood experiences did not cushion.
