Former Kaduna State governor, Nasir El-Rufai, has accused his successor, Governor Uba Sani, of diverting local government funds to purchase properties in the UK, South Africa, and Seychelles.
Speaking on Freedom Radio Kaduna, El-Rufai claimed Sani converts allocations into dollars before siphoning them abroad. He insisted that during his tenure, LG funds were untouched and fully allocated to councils.
Governor Sani has not responded, but in an earlier statement, he dismissed political distractions, saying, “My focus is on serving the people of Kaduna.”
Meanwhile, former senator Shehu Sani challenged El-Rufai to provide evidence, calling the allegations an attempt to shift attention from the N420 billion corruption probe against him.
