Troops Kill Terrorists, Recover Weapons in Borno.

Operatives of the Nigerian army deployed for counter-terrorism operations in the north-east region have announced they neutralized two suspected terrorists. The suspects were allegedly on their way to attack Mashurori village in Borno state.

The announcement was contained in a statement released by the department of army public relations on Monday, 22nd of April 2024. The army said the feat was achieved in conjunction with the civilian joint task force (CJTF) in a clearance operation.

Further, the statement said weapons were recovered from the suspects, including two AK-47 rifles, two magazines, 58 rounds of 7.62mm special ammunition, and a motorbike.

The troops also said they recovered levy tickets and ₦60,000 cash believed to be linked to the terrorists’ illicit extortion activities.
