President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has honoured the Super Falcons with national awards, cash gifts, and housing for winning the 2025 WAFCON title.
At a reception in the Presidential Villa, Abuja, Tinubu conferred the national honour of Officer of the Order of the Niger (OON) on all 24 players and 11 technical team members.
He also announced the gift of a three-bedroom apartment and the naira equivalent of $100,000 for each player, and $50,000 for each coach.
“You’ve shown the strength of the Nigerian spirit,” he said. The First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu, who supported the Falcons throughout the tournament, was also present at the event.
