Former Camerron and Chelsea midfielder, Geremi Njitap, has filed for divorce from his wife, Laure Fotso, after DNA tests revealed his two children were fathered by his wife’s ex.
Geremi, age 45, said the couple’s twins were born after wife Laure had a fling. In court filings, Mr. Geremy alleged that his wife “destroyed the harmony” of their marriage “through her abject behaviour”.
The court documents also alluded to her “repeated lies”, and added that “No children have been born from this union”.
The couple got married after the children were born, a fact, Jeremy alleges, spurred the marriage, “but the discovery that the children were from her previous partner destroyed the couple’s harmony.
“It caused him a huge emotional shock.”
He also said his wife psychologically damaged him.
The couple were married for 12 years.
Geremi’s illustrious career include 109 Chelsea appearances between 2003 and 2007, scoring four goals.
He played for Real Madrid between 1999 and 2003.
Geremi was part of the famous Cameroonian squad that won back-to-back AFCONs in 2000 and 2002.
