The Commander of the 6 Brigade, Nigerian Army, and Sector 3, Operation Whirl Stroke (OPWS), Brigadier General Kingsley Chidiebere Uwa, has disclosed that incidents of kidnapping, banditry, and communal conflicts have significantly declined in Taraba State.

Speaking while receiving participants of the Nigerian Army Resource Centre (NARC) Strategic Management and Policy Studies Course 7/2025, who were on a study tour, General Uwa attributed this significant success to sustained military efforts in combating criminal elements in Taraba State.

He also emphasized the effectiveness of both kinetic and non-kinetic approaches in combating insecurity, which have yielded positive results in the state.
