Dangote Petroleum Refinery has temporarily suspended the sale of petroleum products in naira, citing a need to align sales with crude oil procurement, which is currently in U.S. dollars.
In a notice to petroleum marketers on Wednesday, the refinery explained that its naira sales had exceeded the value of naira-denominated crude received, prompting the adjustment. The company assured that once it secures naira-priced crude from NNPC, sales in naira will resume.
Dangote Refinery also dismissed online reports alleging a halt in operations due to ticketing fraud, calling the claims false and reaffirming its commitment to serving the Nigerian market efficiently.
