A Federal High Court in Abuja has admitted video clips and documents as fresh evidence in the ongoing terrorism trial of Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).

The prosecution tendered a flash drive, a letter from former Attorney General Abubakar Malami, and a compliance certificate. In the videos, allegedly from Kanu’s Facebook broadcasts, he was seen and heard ordering attacks on security agents and police stations.

The court also heard that Kanu announced the formation of the Eastern Security Network (ESN) and urged his supporters to defend the South-East against what he called “Fulani domination.”

One clip reportedly featured Kanu urging followers to kill police officers and soldiers, and to destroy government property.

The defence did not object to the evidence. Justice James Omotosho adjourned the case to May 8 for continuation of trial.
