Bandits Kill Three, Abduct Eight Others in Kaduna.

Suspected bandits have, once again, killed at least three (3) people and abducted eight (8) others in a fresh attack on a village in Kaduna state. The attack reportedly happended in Hayan Habuja village of Kakangi ward in Birnin-Gwari local government area of the state.

This latest attack comes few weeks after twenty-three (23) people were reportedly killed by bandits at another village, Anguwan Danko community near Dogon Dawa district in the eastern part of the same Birnin-Gwari local government.

Confirming the incident to reporters, the secretary-general of Birnin-Gwari emirate progressive union (BEPU), Mr. Abdulrashid Abarshi, said the bandits attacked the village on Tuesday afternoon. He said they believe the assailants had camped at a nearby spot on Monday night to perfect their plans and carry out the deadly act.

He explained that the 2 people were initially attacked and killed, while 4 others abducted but, on the way out of the village after the first round of attacks, the bandits attacked and murdered another villager who was reportedly fetching firewood and further abducted four other persons from the second location.

Security and official government authorities are yet to publicly comment on the incident at the time of filing this report but the unfortunate news is quickly spreading through neighbouring towns and villages.
