Borno State Governor, Babagana Zulum, has banned petrol sales in Bama Local Government Area, including Banki town, to curb insurgent activities.
His media aide, Dauda Iliya, said the move follows security consultations and aims to support ongoing counter-insurgency efforts.
Zulum warned that violators will face strict penalties and urged residents to cooperate as the state pushes for lasting peace.
