The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has revoked the land allocated to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) National Secretariat in Abuja over unpaid ground rent.
A letter dated March 13, 2025, and signed by the Director of Land Administration, Chijioke Nwankwoeze, stated that the PDP failed to pay its annual dues from January 1, 2006, to January 1, 2025.
The letter cited the party’s non-compliance with the terms of occupancy, despite repeated notices from the FCT Administration since 2023. The revocation was carried out under the powers granted to the minister by the Land Use Act.
The PDP’s plot is among more than 4,700 revoked lands in Abuja.
