FCT Minister Nyesom Wike has dismissed NEMA’s claim that a suicide bomber caused Monday’s explosion near Mogadishu Barracks in Abuja.
Wike said security reports indicate the blast came from a man carrying quarry explosives, not a suicide attack.
“Let’s not cause panic. Security never said it was a suicide bombing,” Wike told reporters while inspecting road projects.
NEMA earlier suggested the blast was caused by a suicide bomber. But both the police and military say investigations are ongoing.
