The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister, Nyesom Wike, has approved the payment of a new N70,000 minimum wage for employees of the FCTA, effective immediately.

In a statement issued on Monday by the Acting Head of Civil Service, Grace Adayilo, the move aims to alleviate the challenges faced by FCTA workers. The minister also approved the payment of three months’ salary arrears starting in November 2024.

The Head of Service highlighted that this decision underscores Wike’s commitment to staff welfare and aligns with the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. It is expected to inspire workers to support the administration’s development goals.
