UK-based Nigerian pastor Tobi Adegboyega is set to be deported following a tribunal ruling linked to allegations of financial misconduct involving his church, SPAC Nation. Adegboyega, who married a British citizen, argued deportation violated his right to family life under the European Convention of Human Rights.
Investigations revealed the church failed to account for over £1.87 million in expenses and faced accusations of exploiting young members for financial gain.
The tribunal dismissed Adegboyega’s claims of indispensable community work, noting his stay in the UK was unlawful since overstaying a visitor visa in 2005.
