Uba Sani Greets El-Rufai On His 65th Birthday

Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State has extended warm congratulations to his predecessor, Malam Nasir El-Rufai, as he celebrates his 65th birthday.

Governor Sani shared his message on Sunday afternoon via the microblogging platform X (formerly Twitter), where he referred to the former governor as his brother and friend. He also prayed for God’s guidance and protection for the astute politician.

In his post, Governor Sani wrote: “I wish to extend my heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to my dear brother, friend, and predecessor, His Excellency, Malam Nasir @elrufai CON, on the occasion of his 65th birthday. I pray that Almighty Allah continues to guide, protect, and strengthen His Excellency.”

The post has sparked reactions from netizens, many of whom urged peace between the two politicians amid the ongoing feud between former Governor El-Rufai and his successor, Governor Sani.

A user, Victor Abioye, commented: “Now, let’s make peace, not war. As a show of good faith, please release the Chief of Staff and Jimi Lawal on bail, sir. Let the rebuilding process begin. Mallam, please acknowledge this, and let’s get to work. Politics is never a fight to the finish. Godspeed.”

Another X user, Divine!, wrote: “Politics without bitterness. A unifier.”

Foundational Ijesa Man added: “This is the way to go.”
