UAE President Accepts Invitation to Visit Nigeria

President of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, has accepted an invitation from Nigeria’s President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, to visit Nigeria later this year. The invitation was extended during bilateral talks on the sidelines of the ongoing Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week 2025.

Tinubu, who arrived in Abu Dhabi on Sunday, participated in the event focused on global sustainable development. During the talks, President Tinubu shared Nigeria’s position on climate issues and congratulated the UAE leadership on the success of the event.

The leaders discussed strengthening economic cooperation and attracting investment into Nigeria, with Tinubu highlighting the success of his administration’s economic reforms, which have attracted significant foreign investments.

Tinubu thanked the UAE for the warm welcome extended to him and his delegation, which included Minister of Foreign Affairs Yusuf Tuggar, Minister of Finance Wale Edun, and National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu. The UAE delegation was led by Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs, among other senior officials.
