Gunmen have killed two farmers and injured one in Teegbe community, Bassa LGA of Plateau State.
Joseph Yonkpa, spokesperson for the Irigwe Youth Movement, confirmed the victims were ambushed on Wednesday morning. He said the attackers also destroyed over 20 farms.
In a separate incident, over 300 cattle were rustled on Tuesday evening in Jouckchal, Mangu LGA.
Musa Muhammad, Secretary of MACBAN in Mangu, said the attackers stormed the area around 4:30 p.m., forcing herders to flee. Only five cattle had been recovered by Wednesday.
Muhammad alleged that Mwaghavul youths were behind the rustling, an accusation the group has denied.
He also said the number of poisoned cattle in Mangu has risen to 36, while 60 others were rustled earlier this month.
Security forces are yet to comment on the incidents.
