The Trump administration has revoked visas of several international students across top U.S. universities, including UCLA, Stanford, UC Berkeley, and UC San Diego.
At Stanford alone, four students and two recent graduates lost their legal status, while UCLA reported at least nine affected students. UC San Diego confirmed five cases, with another student denied entry and deported.
University officials say the government gave no explanation for the action, which has sparked concern that it may discourage foreign students from studying in the U.S.
The University of California system said it’s working to support those affected and continues to assess the situation.
