A fully loaded truck fell off the Pen Cinema Bridge in Agege, Lagos, and landed on two commercial buses around 11 a.m. on Saturday.
The accident left both buses badly damaged. Officials from LASTMA, FRSC, and LASEMA quickly responded to the scene.
LASTMA’s General Manager, Olalekan Bakare-Oki, confirmed that the truck driver, who suffered fractures in both hands, lost control while navigating the bridge. He was rescued and taken to Ile-Epo General Hospital for treatment.
The area was cordoned off to prevent further accidents, and the wreckage was cleared to restore traffic. Bakare-Oki urged truck drivers to drive carefully, especially during the rainy season.
