President Bola Tinubu has welcomed new investment interest from Qatar, especially in agriculture and food security. He made the remarks while receiving Qatar’s Special Envoy, Dr Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Al-Khulaifi, at the State House on Friday.
Dr Al-Khulaifi said a Qatari business delegation will soon visit Nigeria to explore opportunities. Tinubu assured that Nigeria is ready for deeper partnerships and directed key ministers to fast-track the implementation of agreements reached during his visit to Doha earlier this year.
The president praised Qatar’s role in global peace and its growing knowledge economy, urging more support for Nigeria’s development, especially in humanitarian areas. He also spoke on Nigeria’s ongoing reforms to improve the investment climate.
