President Bola Tinubu has called on the Nigerian military to step up its fight against insecurity, saying the country will not surrender to terrorists, bandits, or insurgents.
Speaking to troops of the 17 Brigade in Katsina, Tinubu described the moment as critical in the nation’s history, urging soldiers to remain committed to defending Nigeria’s peace and sovereignty.
“This is not just about territory. It’s a battle for the soul of Nigeria,” he said. “Let the enemies of our country know—their time is up.”
The President assured the troops of full support, pledging better welfare, timely allowances, and improved conditions.
“To those trying to destabilise Nigeria—be they insiders or outsiders—Nigeria will not bow,” Tinubu declared.
He was in Katsina for a two-day visit where he also commissioned major road and agricultural projects.
