President Bola Tinubu has asked the House of Representatives to approve ₦1.48 trillion for the Rivers State Emergency Government.
In a letter read by Speaker Abbas Tajudeen on Thursday, Tinubu said the funds will support education, health, agriculture, and free drug distribution under the state’s Sole Administrator, Vice Admiral Ibok-Ete Ibas (retd.).
The House has referred the request to its Ad-hoc Committee on Rivers for review.
