Governors of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) have unanimously backed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the party’s sole candidate for the 2027 presidential election.
The endorsement was made during the APC National Summit held at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State, who chairs the Progressive Governors Forum, moved the motion, which was seconded by Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State. The motion was then passed with a unanimous voice vote from attendees.
Although President Tinubu is still in his first term, conversations around the 2027 election have already begun to shape the political landscape.
