President Bola Ahmed Tinubu says Nigeria is not on the path to becoming a one-party state, but the ruling APC will continue welcoming members from opposition parties.
Speaking during the Democracy Day event at the National Assembly, Tinubu said it’s not the government’s job to fix the disarray in opposition camps.
“Nigeria will not be a one-party state,” he said. “But it would be wrong to stop people from joining the APC. Everyone is welcome.”
He also urged political parties losing members to look inward instead of blaming others.
