A Leader of the All-Progressives Congress (APC) and member of the APC Presidential Campaign Committee (PCC), Olatunbosun Oyintiloye, has urged Nigerians to give President Bola Tinubu more time to address the country’s economic challenges.
In a statement made available to journalists on Sunday, in Osogbo, the state capital, Oyintiloye said with a little patience, all the challenges Nigerians are facing would be things of the past.
He acknowledged that Nigerians are going through a tough time, but said the president is not sleeping over it but working day and night to fix the economy.
He also appealed to Nigerians to remember that the president did not create the economic crisis the country is going through but rather was an inherited, age-long economic crisis.
He, however, argued that all the economic policies that the president is putting in place might look tough but were put in place to put the country on the path of economic prosperity.
Oyintiloye said that Tinubu assumed office when the economy was nosediving, which required systemic reforms and understanding of Nigerians.
said that Tinubu had launched the Economic Recovery and Growth Plan, which would help stimulate economic growth through targeted investments and reforms.
“Several initiatives are being implemented to improve the business environment, attract foreign direct investment, and support small and medium-sized enterprises.
“With a little patience, things will be well again, and Nigeria will rise again,” he said.
