The Presidency says President Bola Tinubu is still in control of national affairs despite being outside the country.
Presidential aide, Bayo Onanuga, said in a statement on Thursday that Tinubu remains fully engaged and is in regular contact with key officials, including security chiefs.
He described the President’s trip to Europe as temporary and said his return will come after the Easter holiday.
This comes after opposition leaders, Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi, criticised Tinubu’s absence amid rising insecurity, urging him to return home.
Onanuga assured Nigerians that governance is ongoing and the President remains committed to his duties.
