Tinubu Extends Tenure for Immigration CG Nandap

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved a 16-month tenure extension for the Comptroller-General of the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), Kemi Nanna Nandap.

This was disclosed on Monday in a press release signed by Bayo Onanuga, Tinubu’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy.

President Tinubu praised Nandap for her leadership, which has led to significant improvements in the operations of the Nigeria Immigration Service.

The statement reads: “Under her leadership, the Nigeria Immigration Service has witnessed significant advancements in its core mandate, with notable improvements in border management, modernization of immigration processes, and national security measures.

“President Tinubu commended the Comptroller-General for her exemplary leadership and urged her to continue dedicating herself to the Service’s strategic priorities, which align with his administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda.”

Nandap, 58, began her career in the Nigeria Immigration Service on October 9, 1989, as an Assistant Superintendent.

She was appointed Comptroller-General on March 1, 2024, to serve until August 31, 2025. Following the extension of her term, she will exit the headship of the NIS on December 31, 2026.
