President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, will today, Monday, August 19, 2024, leave the country, from the nation’s capital, Abuja, on a “working visit” to France, according to a statement released by one of his media aides, Ajuri Ngelale. This latest trip comes just days after his return from Equatorial Guinea and after a controversial diplomatic squabble with a Chinese company that resulted in a presidential jet seized by a French court.
The very short sentence did not specify the duration of the president’s stay, only mentioning he’d return to the country “after his work stay.”
“President Bola Tinubu will embark on a trip to France on Monday, August 19, departing from Abuja, the nation’s capital.
“The President will return to the country after his brief work stay in France,” the statement read.
This is not President Tinubu’s first trip to the European country since assuming office, recall he visited 7 months ago, on what, at the time, was described as a “private visit” by aides.
