Vice President Kashim Shettima has reaffirmed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s efforts to position Nigeria as Africa’s leading investment destination.
Speaking at the 2025 World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos, Switzerland, Shettima highlighted Nigeria’s modernization and abundant opportunities for investors. The discussion, themed “Humanitarian and Resilience: Investing Roadmap for Africa,” was co-chaired by WEF’s Mirek Dusek and AfDB’s Marie-Laure Olugbade.
Shettima dismissed negative perceptions of Africa, stating, “This is not a tale of doom but of a continent rising.” He emphasized that Africa, with support from initiatives like the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA), is ready to overcome challenges and lead global economic growth.
