Texas Floods Kill Over 100

More than 100 people, including 27 girls and their counsellors, have died in devastating floods in Texas following days of heavy rain.

The worst-hit area was Kerr County, where the Guadalupe River rose rapidly, sweeping through homes and a summer camp. The river surged over 26 feet in less than an hour.

Rescue teams are still searching for the missing, with more rain expected. Texas Governor Greg Abbott has declared a state of emergency, while President Trump plans to visit the affected areas on Friday.

The disaster has sparked calls for better warning systems, especially in flood-prone areas like “Flash Flood Alley.” Experts say climate change is making extreme weather like this more frequent and deadly.
