The Plateau State Police on Thursday arraigned 22 suspects linked to the killing of wedding-bound travellers in Mangun, Mangu LGA.
Thirteen people were killed when a bus carrying men, women, and children from Basawa, Kaduna State, was ambushed on its way to a wedding in Qua’an Pan LGA.
At the Plateau State High Court, prosecuting counsel S.I. Ikutanwa sought to have the suspects take their plea, but defense lawyer Garba Pwol objected, saying two of the accused are minors aged 13 and 17.
Justice Boniface Ngyon ruled that no plea would be taken and adjourned the case to Friday, July 11, for amended charges. The suspects remain in police custody.
