Judiciary workers at the Supreme Court, National Judicial Council (NJC), and Federal High Court have withdrawn from the planned June 2 strike.
The decision followed a meeting with the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Kudirat Kekere-Ekun, where the Judiciary Staff Union of Nigeria (JUSUN) received strong assurances that their wage-related demands are being addressed.
JUSUN said it is allowing a two-week grace period for authorities to act on the 2025 budget provisions, which include salary arrears, minimum wage, and the 25%–35% increase.
The Supreme Court workers, in a communique, said they pulled out after reviewing the CJN’s efforts to meet their demands.
