Sokoto Gov’t Open to Talks With Bandits

The Sokoto State Government says it is open to dialogue with bandits ready to surrender and embrace peace. In a statement, Governor Ahmed Aliyu’s adviser on security, Col. Ahmed Usman (rtd), said meaningful engagement can help end violence in the state.

He thanked President Tinubu and security agencies for their efforts and urged transparency in recruiting forest guards. The government also called for stronger ties between security teams and communities.
