The Senate has suspended Kogi Central Senator, Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, for six months over alleged misconduct.

Her suspension followed a report by the Senate Committee on Ethics, Privileges, and Public Petitions. Akpoti-Uduaghan had earlier clashed with Senate President Godswill Akpabio over seat allocation and accused him of obstructing her legislative work.

She was invited to appear before the ethics committee but failed to do so. Committee chairman, Senator Neda Imasuen, said, “Senator Natasha was duly invited. We hope she will join us as we continue.”

With the suspension in effect, she is barred from Senate activities for six months.
