During Thursday’s plenary, the Senate replaced Chief Whip Senator Tahir Monguno (APC, Borno North) with Senator Kaka Shehu (Borno Central) as the North East representative in the committee meeting with the Attorney General of the Federation (AGF).
This adjustment followed Wednesday’s creation of a 10-member committee led by Senator Abba Moro (PDP, Benue South) to address contentious issues in tax reform bills. Senate President Godswill Akpabio emphasized the decision to exclude principal officers, ensuring transparency as highlighted by Senate Leader Opeyemi Bamidele (APC, Ekiti Central).
