Saudi Arabia Approves Aminu Dantata’s Burial in Madina

Saudi Arabian authorities have approved the burial of business icon and philanthropist, Alhaji Aminu Dantata, in the holy city of Madina.

Mustapha Abdullahi Junaid, Principal Private Secretary to the late business mogul, disclosed this in a post on his Facebook page.

The post reads: “Alhamdulillah Alhamdulillah Alhamdulilah Alhamdulillah, we have received approval to take Aminu Alhassan Dantata from Abu Dhabi to Medina, he will be buried tomorrow morning by the grace of Allah.”

Aminu Dantata passed away in Abu Dhabi at the age of 94 on June 28, 2025. According to family sources, he wished to be buried in Madina next to his late wife, Rabi’a, who died in 2023.

A special Islamic funeral prayer, Salatul Ga’ib, was held in Kano on Saturday in his honour.
