Following the announcement of the Kano state governor, Abba Yusuf, to reinstate the emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi Lamido, the previously deposed emir has reportedly arrived at the Kano government house to officially receive his appointment letter as part of activities to mark his resumption of office as the sole first-class emir of the state.
Initial reports suggest said the emir arrived Kano on Thursday evening in an unceremonious manner, as advised by security agencies and allegedly spent the night at Kano government house.
All is now set for the much-anticipated event that will usher the emir to his first outing in the public since his reinstatement.
He is expected to be at the Africa house in Kano government house for a mini durbar ceremony on Friday, from where he will then proceed to the Nasarawa emir’s palace.
The emir is then expected to lead the Jum ‘at (Friday) prayers at the kano central mosque located at the emir’s palace, Kofar Kudu.
