The House of Representatives Ad-Hoc Committee on Rivers State has invited Vice Admiral Ibok-Ete Ibas (rtd.), the state’s Sole Administrator, for an interactive session on Thursday.
House spokesperson Akin Rotimi Jnr. said the invitation followed the committee’s inaugural meeting on Wednesday, after being set up by Speaker Abbas Tajudeen.
The committee, led by House Leader Prof Julius Ihonvbere, was formed to monitor the situation in Rivers after the National Assembly approved the presidential declaration of a state of emergency.
Ibas is expected to appear by 4:00 PM at the National Assembly in Abuja.
