The House of Representatives has apologised to Nigerians over the technical glitch that disrupted the 2025 UTME, affecting nearly 380,000 candidates.

Chairman of the House Committee on Basic Education, Rep. Oboku Oforji, issued the apology on Tuesday, blaming the error on negligence by JAMB officials.

He praised JAMB’s Registrar, Prof. Ishaq Oloyede, for taking responsibility and urged Nigerians to forgive the exam body.

The lawmaker also called for an independent investigation to prevent future occurrences.
