Remi Tinubu Donates ₦1bn to Plateau Victims, Says Funds Not From Govt

First Lady Remi Tinubu has donated ₦1 billion to victims of recent attacks in Plateau State, saying the money was privately raised, not from government coffers.

Speaking in Jos on Thursday, she said the donation was made through her Renewed Hope Initiative. “This is not public money. It’s raised to support those in need,” she stated.

She urged traditional rulers to help restore peace in the state, while Governor Caleb Mutfwang thanked her for the gesture, calling it a sign of true leadership.
