Over 24 hours after President Bola Tinubu ordered the unsealing of sealed properties, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) national headquarters in Abuja remains locked.

The building was among those sealed by the FCT Administration over unpaid ground rent. Though other affected properties have been reopened, PDP’s office at Wuse Zone 5 was still shut as of Wednesday morning, with the FCTA seal visible on the gate.

Some party staff were seen waiting outside, expressing concern. One staff member claimed the delay was intentional, saying, “They unsealed others but skipped us.”

President Tinubu had given defaulters 14 days to pay with a N2m penalty and instructed immediate unsealing. However, there has been no official reason for the continued closure of the PDP office.

Acting PDP Chairman Umar Damagum earlier condemned the sealing, calling it “an attack on democracy.”

FCT Minister Nyesom Wike, a known critic of the PDP leadership, is overseeing the enforcement.
