FCT Minister Nyesom Wike and his allies have urged the PDP to zone its 2027 presidential ticket to the South and reinstate Senator Samuel Anyanwu as National Secretary.
At a meeting in Abuja on Monday, Wike, alongside members of the G5 and other party loyalists, warned that failure to take these steps could worsen the party’s internal crisis.
In a communique, they insisted that Anyanwu remains the party’s duly elected secretary and can’t be removed without a properly convened national convention.
They also called on the party to respect federal character principles by zoning the presidency to the South, following eight years of Northern leadership under Buhari.
The group reaffirmed their commitment to the PDP and urged members to support reconciliation efforts led by Senator Bukola Saraki.
