Economic difficulties have pushed over 130 million Nigerians into poverty, according to Alhaji Badamasi Barau, Head of SMEDAN’s Kaduna office. Speaking at the 21st Productivity Day organized by the National Productivity Centre (NPC) in Kaduna, he called for increased productivity to combat the hardship.
Barau highlighted the significance of the event’s theme, “National Productivity Movement and Imperative for Economic Recovery, Sustainable Growth and Development,” in addressing socio-economic challenges.
NPC State Coordinator Gideon Malgwui assured that the centre remains committed to enhancing productivity, while discussants emphasized the need for actionable solutions to shift Nigeria’s economic trajectory.
