Former Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Mudashiru Obasa, arrived at the assembly complex on Thursday with a team of security personnel.
Obasa, who was removed on January 13 over alleged misconduct, is reportedly attempting to reclaim his position. His successor, Mojisola Meranda, has faced mounting pressure to step down, with reports suggesting President Bola Tinubu is unhappy with Obasa’s removal.
A source told Daily Trust that Obasa “forced his way into the chamber” and is now trying to access the speaker’s office.
