The Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has called for an emergency ministerial meeting in Cairo in response to recent remarks by U.S. President Trump on forcibly relocating Palestinians.
Scheduled to follow an Arab summit on February 27, the meeting will reaffirm Arab and Islamic nations’ commitment to Palestinian rights, including self-determination and the right to return.
Egypt has firmly rejected any plan that would permanently uproot Palestinian communities.
The OIC, representing 57 member states, aims to rally international support to protect the Palestinian cause and promote a just peace in the region.
