Peter Obi has called on the ADC-led opposition coalition to zone its 2027 presidential ticket to the South in the interest of equity and national unity.
Speaking at a colloquium in Ilorin through his representative, Dr. Tanko Yunusa, Obi said the South should be allowed to complete its turn before power returns to the North.
He warned against repeating past political mistakes and said his 2027 ambition remains on course, with or without the coalition ticket.
Other speakers at the event, including Prof. Abdulmumin Ajia and Akogun Iyiola Oyedepo, called for political reforms, value-driven leadership, and stronger opposition to rebuild Nigeria’s democracy.
