Former President Olusegun Obasanjo says Nigeria’s poverty is due to mismanagement, not a lack of resources. Speaking at a dinner in Abia, he stressed that the country has everything it needs to prosper.

He praised Governor Alex Otti for transforming Abia and said if more governors followed his example, Nigeria would thrive.

Obasanjo also reminded leaders to build on existing national plans, citing his advice to ex-Transport Minister Amaechi on the railway development.

Governor Otti thanked Obasanjo for his support, recalling his 10-year political journey. Amaechi urged preparations for the 2027 elections and emphasized the importance of good leadership.
