A Nigerian journalist, Livinus Chibuike Victor, has set a new Guinness World Record after completing a 75-hour non-stop interview marathon in Abuja.
The previous record stood at 55 hours and 24 seconds. Livinus started his session on April 15 and wrapped up on April 20 at Harrow Park Golf Club, under the theme “Nigeria, Our Strength.”
He interviewed over 150 people, including politicians, entertainers, industry leaders, and everyday Nigerians.
“I didn’t do this for fame,” he said. “I did it to amplify unheard voices and show the world what Nigerian journalists can do.”
The record attempt drew support from the NUJ FCT Council. Chairperson Grace Ike praised it as “bold and inspiring.”
Chibuike hopes the achievement sparks renewed support for press freedom and quality journalism in Nigeria.
