Suspended Kogi Central senator, Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, says she’s ready to defend herself against defamation charges filed by the Federal Government.

The charges stem from comments she made during a live interview on Channels TV on April 3. Her legal team confirmed receiving the court papers on Friday and said they would respond with “factual and statutory defences.”

The case, filed on May 16 at an FCT High Court, lists Senate President Godswill Akpabio and ex-Kogi Governor Yahaya Bello among the witnesses.
